Happiness is a Warm Puppy

Happiness is a Warm Puppy
Charles Schultz, creator of the immortal Snoopy and friends, penned that line.

I grew up in Santa Rosa, the town where Charles Schulz lived. He was a favorite, unassuming, friendly guy in the community, and gave the town a lovely ice skating rink way back when. An all-round nice guy, "Sparky" Schulz, as he was known to his friends, was our own Norman Rockwell. Like Rockwell, his art captured the simplicity and essence of the everyday events that make up our lives.

You can visit the Charles Schulz Museum and learn more about this American icon and his art. While you're in town, include a tour of the Canine Companions Center there. Perhaps you'll become interested in becoming a puppy raiser or supporter of this amazing organization. I've been privileged to work with CCI as a volunteer, and also a teacher and friend of several graduates. It's usually sunny in Santa Rosa during the winter months, or should I mention that to those of us who live up North?

If you aren't experiencing California sunshine, it's time to get something to keep your puppy warm. We have top quality dog coats, sweaters, snowsuits, and bad weather boots in stock right now.

Ten percent of the price of any winter boots and snowsuits will be donated to Canine Companions for Independence through eBay, so have a look around. And stay warm out there!
